Launch of the Affordable and Accessible Healthcare Initiative
New Delhi, Newsleader, Aug 3: In a significant move towards global health equity, India’s esteemed Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, has initiated the “G20 Affordable and Accessible Healthcare Summit Series”. This pioneering initiative aims to harness the collective strength of the world’s leading economies, which together represent roughly 80% of the global gross product, 75% of international trade, two-thirds of the world’s population, and 60% of the world’s land area. Endorsed by India’s respected Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, and the G20 Presidency, this unique G20 summit series is poised to set a global standard. The series, hosted across the dynamic cities of the G20 nations, seeks to highlight the critical aspects of affordable and accessible healthcare, while also emphasizing India’s influential role in this vital global endeavor. “Accessibility and affordability in healthcare are not just concepts; they are the lifelines of society. It is our steadfast duty to ensure these lifelines reach every individual, regardless of their geographical or financial constraints,” stated Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya. Backing this initiative is Pulsus Group, a leader in health informatics and digital marketing. Known for its proficiency in publishing scientific, technical, and medical literature and organizing over 1000 global conferences annually, Pulsus Group is dedicated to driving this transformative healthcare summit series forward.
Dr. Srinubabu Gedela, CEO of Pulsus Group, characterized the G20 Affordable and Accessible Healthcare Summit Series as “a global platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration, uniting esteemed scholars, clinicians, innovators, and policymakers to foster a potent synergy for healthcare transformation through innovation and research.” Selected abstracts will be given prestigious speaking opportunities to honor outstanding healthcare contributions. Furthermore, the series emphasizes nurturing startups and connecting them with potential investors and mentors to inspire innovative solutions. Engaging policymakers to ensure healthcare advancements are both revolutionary and ethical is also a key focus, advocating for the wellbeing of global communities. “The summit series embodies our commitment to making healthcare more accessible, affordable, and equitable. It’s inspiring to bring together world leaders, healthcare professionals, and innovators on this transformative journey,” confirmed Dr. K Laxman, member of the Rajya Sabha.
As part of the Health20 initiative, the Healthcare Summit Series is set to take place in major cities like Frankfurt, Tokyo, Toronto, New York, Beijing, London, Vienna, Cape Town, Rome, Paris, Riyadh, Bali, Sao Paulo, Seoul, Istanbul, and several prominent Indian cities, including New Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Vizag. These forums will amplify India’s pivotal role in promoting medical tourism and underscore the ‘one family, one earth’ principle—advocating for affordable, accessible healthcare for all G20 countries. Bellana Chandra Sekhar, a strong advocate for rural healthcare, underscored this ethos. He has set an inspiring example by establishing a model hospital in rural Andhra Pradesh in June 2023, demonstrating that quality healthcare can be achieved at affordable costs, even in India’s rural regions.
